Licensed since 1998, David has represented over 5,000 clients injured in motor vehicle accidents and tried more than 50 civil and criminal cases to jury verdicts. He has recovered millions for his clients and began his career defending indigent defendants. David’s criminal defense experience includes a wide range of cases from first-degree murder to high-value thefts and numerous DUI trials. Notably, he achieved a major federal acquittal in 2001 for a client charged with possession of over 100 kilos of marijuana, a case regarded as one of Tennessee’s largest single-defendant acquittals.

David’s trial skills, honed as a criminal defense attorney, are now applied in his personal injury practice. He methodically prepares every case as if it will go to trial, though over 90% settle before suit is filed. David and his team are prepared to battle insurance companies to ensure clients receive deserved compensation.

In addition to personal injury, David represents professionals facing misconduct allegations. He has defended lawyers, judges, and doctors before various boards and committees, including the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility and the Board of Health. He also assists law license applicants and has worked with the Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct.

David frequently lectures at Vanderbilt Law School, the University of Memphis School of Law, and the Nashville School of Law. He also teaches continuing legal education classes for various bar associations, sharing his extensive knowledge on personal injury and ethical matters.
