John Gilroy attended Santa Clara University and majored in Political Science. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1993. After graduating with his undergrad, he attended the University of Oregon, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1998. He was then admitted to practice law in the Oregon, Washington, and the U.S. district court, District of Oregon.

Gilroy is included in many associations and has been recongized for the outstanding services he has brought to his clients. He is a member of the following associations: Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, Multnomah County Bar Association, Washington County Bar Association, and Clackamas County Bar Association. Additionally, he has been recognized as Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers and named among the Top 100 DUII Attorneys in Oregon.

Attorney John Gilroy was a Deputy District Attorney at the Washington County District Attorney’s Office. This allowed Gilroy to fully understand the process of legal cases. Gilroy is now the co-founder of a law firm known as Gilroy Napoli Short Law Group.
